Dear Readers,

This month, an apology and an explanation.

Firstly, I apologise for not having a feature article for you this month. You may have noticed that my posts, which have been regularly twice monthly over the years, have become monthly. I have been lucky enough this year to be involved in various exciting projects that have just not allowed me the time to write here more often. And I would rather give you a proper feature when I can, than post any old thing. And this month I am under a deadline that is all consuming. So I thought I would just briefly let you know about the projects I have been working on, to explain, and so you can look out for them.

I have been having a deliciously rock and roll time with rock star turned Michelin starred chef Graham Garrett, co-writing his autobiography/recipe book; Sex & Drugs & Sausage Rolls. Published by FACE publications, which will be out in October.

And currently I am up to my eyeballs in gobsmackingly tempting chocolate bakes, as I devise recipes for The Great British Bake Off. I am writing a book for them on chocolate, which will be out next March, published by Hodder & Stoughton. It will be a guide to baking with chocolate, making the most of its glorious potential as an ingredient, with classic chocolate bakes, flavour pairings you will not be able to resist, and cakes, bakes, puddings and treats I hope you will love.

So hopefully lots you will enjoy reading and cooking with. And I promise to bring you more here shortly. The salons London and Paris, what chocolate to get for Christmas this year, and some great interviews are upcoming.
